The Singers
From their first public concert in 2009, the Lucy Cavendish Singers captured the hearts and minds of audiences with their vibrant performances and imaginative programmes. Performing entirely from memory, the Singers brought enormous commitment and spontaneity to their songs. The varied musical background of the individual singers supported a wide-ranging repertoire from jazz and traditional music to classical pieces.
The Singers were formed in 2008 by their Director, Katharina Megli, at Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge. Members included fellows and alumnae of the College as well as of other Cambridge colleges, employees of the University and singers drawn from the wider community.
The Singers gave their last public concert to great acclaim on 23 June 2024.
